Why creativity is over-rated, and how to overcome the Lizard Brain…

Thanks to Chad Hamzeh I recently came across this Seth Godin video from a year or so back.

If you ever suffer from procrastination or are unable to complete the projects you want, you definitely need to watch this from start to finish.

The good news is that not only is it not your fault, but Seth shares a 100% tried-and-tested strategy for how to overcome this inner-resistance built into us all.

So what do you think of what Seth has to say, and does it inspire you to take clear and consistent action? Leave a message below and let me know!

Great post James we all need to take the actions that we need to be successful and get that lizard brain to to quite.

    Lawrence,

Yep, couldn’t agree more, knowing that the lizard brain works in this way is key to being able to defeat it, I think.

    Hi Dawn,

Taking action of course is a habit like any other, but now its clearer for me why its essential not merely optional to develop it…

    All the best,
    James

I guess the tree most important things in any business are
    1) Take action
    2) Take action
    3) ………………..

I think Seth has hit the nail on the head. Making a living in creative industries is not primarily about creativity. Certainly 100% true for music industry…
